Sir Joseph Francis “Frank” Ledger (29 October 1899 - 6 April 1993) was an engineer, industrialist and philanthropist born to English immigrants Edson and Annie Ledger in East Perth, Western Australia.

On 10 March 1923, he married Gladys Muriel Lyons (d. 1981). Sir Frank was an adoring father of his children named Ethel June (b. 1924), Colin Francis (b. 1926) and Betsy Velma (b. 1929). He had ten grandchildren and many great grandchildren.

Some of Western Australia’s infrastructure is a testament to Sir Frank’s engineering skills.He ran his father and Uncle’s engineering firm, J. and E. Ledger, until 1965, when it was sold to an English firm. Kim would repurchase the business in the early 1990’s and renamed it Ledger Engineering. 

The Sir Frank Ledger Charitable Trust, established in 1971, provides financial support to benefit young people in need. The Sir Frank Ledger Stand at Gloucester Park, opened in 1976, recognized his contribution to harness racing. A scholarship at the University of Western Australia Business School is named after him. 

Colin Francis Ledger (1926 - 15 August 1991) pursued a career in engineering like his father and grandfather. He married a nurse, Emma Kathleen McFarlane (d. 2004). They were loving parents to four (4) sons named Kim (b. 1950), Haydn (b. 1956) and Mike (b. 1958-59). 4th son's name unknown at this time, will find out. Unfortunately, Colin passed away prematurely from a sudden heart attack.

Kim Ledger (b. 19 May 1950) is a former WA Speed car racer and mining engineer. He is the owner of several businesses, most with an engineering element. Additionally, he is a director, member and volunteer of many foundations.

Kim married Sally Ramshaw in the early 1970’s. They welcomed two children, Kate (b. 1975) and Heath Andrew (b. 1979). He has Olivia (b. 1996) from his marriage to Emma Brown. Kim married Ines Rosa (Ledger) in December 2006 and gained two stepdaughters, Elana and Nadia. He is a devoted grandfather to Matilda (Heath's daughter) (b. 2005), twins Rorie & Scarlet (b. 2006) and River (b. 2019).
